UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ALL EVENTS WILL TAKE PLACE EITHER IN THE MUSEUM BUILDING  OR THE ORR HOME, BOTH LOCATED AT 1801  RAINIER STREET, STEILACOOM, WASHINGTON 

Museum is open Saturdays & Sundays from 11a.m. to 3 p.m.

Now thru September--Last Saturday of the month: "Kid  Day" at the museum from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  
 
 

Carruth Studio Fundraiser. Orders will once again be taken for Carruth Studio sculptures at the upcoming (October 5th) Apple Squeeze.   A new catalog featuring holiday-theme sculptures will be available.

Cedar shake splitting  demonstrations, with public participation, will continue at the Wagon Shop each weekend during normal museum hours through the Apple Squeeze weekend (October 5th). Special group events (e.g., scouts, schools, civic organizations) can be arranged by contacting the Museum at 253-584-4133.  Public support for  the shake splitting event, which started in July, has been phenomenal. Approximately half of the cedar shakes required to re-roof the Wagon  Shop have already been split out

 

Saturday, September 27 & 28th --  Antique Purses (Members only)
An  Antique Purse presentation will be offered on both Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28, at 2:30 p.m. at the Museum. The presentation is free for SHMA members and $3.00 for guests.  There is a limit of 30-35 people per session.  To reserve a slot, please call (253) 584-4133

 
Sunday, October 5th --  Apple Squeeze, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m on Lafayette Street in downtown Steilacoom 

Nov. 14 thru 16 -- Christmas at the Orr Properties
Nov. 14th 6-9pm, Nov. 15th 10am to 4pm, Nov. 16th noon to 4pm

Nov. 16 ~ Wreath Making Class10:00am at the museum.  Call 253-589.4470 for reservations.


Friday, December 5th --  "Magical Night at the Wagon Shop"--Newcomers' Welcome, open to all SHMA members.  5:30 p.m. regardless of the weather.  Town tree lighting can be seen from the Wagon Shop.

 
Saturday, December 13th--  Annual dinner/business meeting, 6:30 p.m.  6 p.m., at the Community Center
